PEACEPIPE was formed in the summer of 1997. Just like many other bands PEACE PIPE has went through several member changes, searching for the right chemistry and sound that every band looks for. PEACE PIPE is a four piece band striving for perfection with every note played.
PEACE PIPE is influenced by all styles of rock music, but the sound created collectively is an aggressive high energy style that leaves people wanting more. At a local show it was quoted that PEACE PIPE is more like a rock concert than our normal weekend shows and judging by the standing room only and the explosive support from the audience it is nothing new to the band.
PEACE PIPE is an apropos moniker for a band that came together "piece by piece" but it is not the legacy behind the name. There's a great band out of the Carolinas called 'Cry of Love'. They do a song called 'PEACE PIPE' and when they heard it they thought, hey, that's a great name for a band.
It seems that this Rogersville TN. based band is destined to make an impact on the rock scene in the East TN. area and hopefully around the world. If you get a chance you really need to check these guys out it is really worth it.
